Scream Team Overview


The Scream Team is responsible for helping manage visitors as they prepare to enter the Butcher Shop, which is again the super-scary, non-family area of the Haunted House. You will do a variety of things, including helping at sign-in tables, managing the waiting lines and areas, giving and taking tickets, as well as managing the entrance and exit. Please watch each of the mini-videos below, paying particular attention to the area you’ve chosen to work for the nights of the Haunted House. If you have yet to sign up for a specific duty listed below, please communicate with the Writing Center immediately so we can let you know where we still need volunteers! 

Sign-in team

There are multiple sign-in tables, all of which basically have the same function. Watch the mini-video for a description of what you’ll do on event nights.


Line team

The line team will manage visitors lining up to enter the Butcher Shop. You can watch the mini-video for a description.
Door team 

The door team will work in the brick foyer entrance and exit areas of the Butcher Shop. Here is a good introduction of what to expect.

Hopefully you feel a bit better about how you fit into the Scream Team! And even if you still have lots of questions, no worries. There will be multiple in-person meetings to make sure you feel comfortable and prepared for event nights.
